Marcellus ranked 558th among cities in New York by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Marcellus residents was $32,367 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 822 households with a population of 1,893.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Harbor Hills with $107,841 per year after adjusting for inflation – $75,474 more than Marcellus. It had 145 households with a population of 475.
