Graduates earn 623 degrees from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry

About 37.9 percent of the 623 degrees and certificates handed out by SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2017-18 were to students in natural resources and conservation programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Syracuse conferred 162 bachelor's degrees and 38 associate's degrees in natural resources and conservation programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in environmental biology. Data shows the school gave out 75 bachelor's degrees in environmental biology, followed by 63 bachelor's degrees in natural resources management and policy and 41 bachelor's degrees in environmental science.

The college enrolled 2,220 students for 2017-18, including 1,825 in undergraduate programs and 395 in graduate programs.
