Syracuse NY issued the following announcement on April 1.
City of Syracuse Department of Public Works is switching the operation of the traffic signal located at the intersection of S. Geddes and W. Onondaga Streets from flashing yellow to standard operation (red, yellow, green).
This changeover is scheduled annually, with the traffic signal operating only in flash mode from November through March to account for wintry conditions on the Geddes Street hill.
