Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has revealed plans for a road reconstruction project on Thurber Street. The work is set to start on Saturday, July 5, with crews scheduled to mill and pave the stretch from East Brighton Avenue to Comstock Avenue. During the construction period, the road will be closed daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and traffic detours will be implemented.

Drivers are cautioned that they may face delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes when possible. The project is anticipated to conclude in about one week; however, this timeline depends on favorable weather conditions.
