Syracuse University’s women’s tennis team concluded the first day of competition at the UB Indoor Invitational in Buffalo, New York. The event saw Syracuse players competing alongside Niagara against Saint John’s University.

The doubles pairing of Nelly Knezkova and Constance Leviver secured a 6-0 victory over Saint John’s Noemi Babikova and Victoria Papadopoulou. In singles play, Knezkova earned another win with a 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 result against Babikova.

Leviver was defeated in her singles match by Nao Kojima with scores of 6-3, 6-2. Haram Kim also lost her singles match to Guilia Bizzari, finishing 6-4, 6-2.

Syracuse is scheduled to continue its participation in the UB Indoor Invitational on Saturday, November 1. The day’s events are set to begin at 3:30 p.m. for doubles and 4:15 p.m. for singles matches, though times may change depending on the duration of earlier contests.
