Syracuse University announced on Apr. 15 that its No. 4 ranked women’s lacrosse team will finish the regular season with a game against No. 13 Boston College on Thursday, April 16 at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
The matchup is significant as Syracuse enters the contest with a 12-game winning streak, which is tied for the fourth longest in program history. The team has faced one of the toughest schedules in the country this year, with seven wins coming against ranked opponents and prior opposition holding a .693 winning percentage.
Defensively, Syracuse ranks fifth nationally by allowing just 7.3 goals per game and holds second place in scoring defense within the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Izzy Lahah and Coco Vandiver have each surpassed forty caused turnovers this season—the first time two teammates have reached that mark together at Syracuse—approaching Katie Goodale’s single-season record of forty-five set in 2024. Goalkeeper Daniella Guyette stands third nationally in goals-against average at 7.01 and was recognized as IWLCA National Co-Defensive Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Player of the Week after recording eleven saves versus Notre Dame.
On offense, sophomore Molly Guzik leads with thirty-six goals and ten assists across fifteen games, having scored three or more goals six times this season. Guzik was named Third Team Midseason All-American and recently added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
Boston College brings an offense averaging nearly thirteen goals per game while converting over half their free position shots. Molly Driscoll leads Boston College with forty-seven points; Marissa White has thirty-five goals; Shea Dolce anchors their defense with a .432 save percentage and one hundred seventeen saves.
Thursday’s contest marks the thirty-second meeting between Syracuse and Boston College, with Syracuse leading seventeen to fifteen overall but having lost eight straight games to Boston College—including two national semifinal matchups since 2023.
