The Syracuse University women’s basketball program announced on April 14 that it will host three summer camps at the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center in the Lally Athletics Complex. The camps are designed to provide coaching from head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her staff to players of various ages and skill levels.
The camps aim to offer skill development opportunities for young athletes interested in basketball, allowing them to learn directly from collegiate-level coaches and players.
The Skills Camp, scheduled for July 15-17, is open to players entering grades 2 through 8. Sessions are divided by age group: grades 2-5 will attend from 9:30 a.m. to noon, while grades 6-8 will participate from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The camp costs $195 per athlete and is open to all genders.
Team Camp takes place on August 2 and is intended for varsity and AAU teams with players in grades 7 through 12. Activities include skill stations, games, bracket play, and one team will be named Orange Champion. Registration costs $100 per athlete (up to thirteen players per team), with check-in starting at 8 a.m., camp running from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and participants required to bring their own lunch.
Elite Camp follows on August 3 for varsity and AAU team members in grades seven through twelve as well. This camp features drills used by the Syracuse women’s basketball team during practice sessions along with games and competitions throughout the day (9 a.m.–4 p.m.), costing $75 per athlete.
Head Coach Felisha Legette-Jack said she and her staff will work directly with each student-athlete during these sessions.
