Syracuse University Libraries offers a range of resources not only to students and faculty but also to university staff. With an SU ID and Syracuse.edu email, staff can access the collections, services, and spaces provided by the Libraries.

Staff are encouraged to visit Bird Library, Carnegie Library, King + King Architecture Library, the Law Library, or the Special Collections Research Center. For those working remotely, resources are accessible online at library.syracuse.edu.

There are various ways for staff to utilize these benefits:

– Borrow materials such as books, eBooks, journals, databases, videos, maps, games, and music. Items not available in the collection can be requested through interlibrary loan with delivery options.
– Technology borrowing includes presentation equipment and laptops.
– Wellness resources support mind and body health.
– Free digital subscriptions are available for Syracuse.com, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
– Poster printing is available using a plotter printer at Bird Library.
– Room reservations for calls or events can be made without charge.
– Research Guides curated by librarians assist with research projects.
– Data analysis support is offered with software like SAS and SPSS along with Qualtrics training.
– Primary and secondary source instruction sessions can be scheduled for educational purposes.
– Workshops and events hosted throughout the year are open to all staff.

The Libraries also provide leisure reading options through their Little Free Bird bookshelf. Additionally, they serve as a congressionally designated depository for U.S. government documents ensuring public access under Title 44 United States Code.

For further assistance or inquiries about library services, contact methods include calling or texting the library team or using their online chat service.
