Syracuse University Libraries will extend their operating hours during the Spring 2025 finals week. Bird Library will be open around the clock from Monday, April 28, to Thursday, May 8. This initiative aims to provide students with more access to resources during a critical academic period.
In addition to increased accessibility, several wellness activities will be provided at Bird Library to aid student relaxation and focus. On Monday, April 28, “Donuts with the Dean” will be available on the first floor from 4 to 5 p.m. From April 28 to May 6, a “positivity station” will be set up offering study goody bags with encouragement notes, candy, coloring pages, and snacks.
On Tuesday, April 29, a Reading Day event will be hosted in the Libraries Wellness Room (Room 114) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Available activities include coloring, Zen boards, guided meditation, chair massage pillows, and board games.
Students are also reminded that Syracuse University Libraries have two MindSpa massage chair rooms available for reservations, along with various wellness items that can be borrowed.
