Graduating seniors at Syracuse University are approaching a significant transition, preparing for graduation while wrapping up their final assignments. The Student Experience division has crafted a comprehensive checklist to ensure these students make the most of their remaining time on campus.
Chloe Langerman, class of ’25, shared her feelings about the impending farewell moments. “I’m excited to spend some of my last moments on campus celebrating with the people who have made my college experience so special,” she says. “It’s going to be bittersweet, but I can’t wait to move forward as an Orange.”
The checklist includes key activities such as the Senior Celebration on May 8, a Class Gift initiative, completion of the First Destination Survey, yearbook orders, and exploring the Commencement Weekend Website. The Senior Celebration, scheduled from 1–4 p.m. on the Quad, offers an opportunity for students to celebrate achievements with lawn games, music, and giveaways.
Graduates are encouraged to participate by donating $25 or more to the Class Gift, allowing them to leave a legacy and support future students. Completing the First Destination Survey is another priority, allowing students to document their next steps post-graduation.
Orders for the 2025 yearbook are due by May 9, providing seniors a keepsake packed with memories from their academic journey. Additionally, the Commencement Weekend Website offers essential information on event schedules and preparation.
Maggie Anderson, also ’25, is eager for the celebration. “I’m looking forward to attending the Senior Celebration alongside my best friends and soaking up every last minute we have on campus and taking them down in some lawn games,” she says. “Cheers to the Class of 2025 and all of the incredible opportunities awaiting us in the future!”
The university highlights resources for families and supporters of seniors as well. The Families of Seniors Webpage and the Commencement Weekend website provide information about event schedules, campus logistics, and special ways to celebrate graduating students, such as a Wishing Well for messages and photos.
