Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and Syracuse City School District Superintendent Anthony Davis have announced a series of public meetings focused on the Third Phase of the Joint Schools Construction Board (JSCB) project. These sessions aim to inform residents about planned facility improvements and gather feedback for the Comprehensive Plan.

The meetings will offer residents a chance to learn about upcoming changes, pose questions to district and city officials, and provide their perspectives on the planning process. The JSCB Phase III Comprehensive Plan involves ten schools within the Syracuse City School District: Webster, Lincoln, Henninger, Nottingham, Blodgett, Seymour, Delaware, Corcoran, Roberts, and Syracuse Latin.

Mayor Walsh emphasized the importance of community involvement in shaping educational facilities that meet the needs of students and families. “Community input is essential to creating educational facilities that truly serve our students and families,” he stated. “These meetings provide an important opportunity for Syracuse residents to learn about our plans and help shape the future of our schools.”

Superintendent Davis expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Mayor Walsh in inviting community members to these public sessions. “I’m excited to join Mayor Walsh in inviting our community to upcoming public meetings on Phase III of the Joint Schools Construction Project,” said Davis. He highlighted that these sessions are crucial for families, staff, and neighbors to understand major school improvements and collaboratively influence the future of education in Syracuse.
