City of Syracuse administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Trash and recycling pickup scheduled for Friday will occur one day later than usual, with sanitation crews collecting on Saturday instead. There are no changes to the schedule for pickups on Monday through Thursday.

The Department of Public Works yard waste self-drop off site at 1200 Canal Street will also be closed to the public on Friday. Additionally, metered parking downtown will be free for the day.

Emergency public works services can still be reported by calling 315-448-8360. Although Cityline offices will not be accepting calls, residents may submit service requests via the SYRCityline app or online at syr.gov/cityline.
