City of Syracuse administrative offices will not be open on Monday, May 26, due to the Memorial Day holiday. As a result, trash and recycling collection will experience a one-day delay throughout the week. The sanitation schedule is adjusted as follows: Monday’s collections will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, Wednesday’s on Thursday, Thursday’s on Friday, and Friday’s on Saturday.

Residents have the option to drop off yard waste at the Department of Public Works self-drop-off site at 1200 Canal St. This service is available on Saturday, May 24, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., but the site will remain closed on Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 26. Regular operating hours for this facility are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Metered parking in Downtown Syracuse will be free of charge on Monday.

For emergency public works services, residents can call 315-448-8360. Although Cityline offices will not accept calls during this period, service requests can still be submitted via the SYRCityline app or online at syr.gov/cityline.
