The sixth annual One University Assessment Celebration is scheduled for April 25 at 2 p.m., to be held in the School of Education Commons at Huntington Hall. Hosted by the offices of Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness, the event is open to the public.

The gathering will honor faculty and staff for their contributions toward improving student learning and operational success. Several awards will be presented in different categories:

The "Assessment Champion" award aims to recognize members of the campus community who advocate for assessment practices that enhance both student learning and operational effectiveness. The "Outstanding Assessment" award will highlight academic programs, co-curricular programs or units, and functional units that demonstrate strong assessment practices and action planning to support informed decision-making.

An award for "Best Engagement Strategies" will celebrate programs or units that actively involve faculty, staff, and students in the assessment process. The "Best Use of Results" award will focus on programs or units that effectively use assessment outcomes to guide decision-making. Lastly, the "Collaborative Inquiry and Action" award will acknowledge programs or units working with entities outside their primary school, college, or division to utilize assessment for improvements in student learning and campus operations.

The event will also feature poster presentations from 2024 Assessment Leadership Institute participants and 2024-25 recipients of the Student Engagement in Assessment grant. Light refreshments will be available.

RSVPs are encouraged for those planning to attend.
