Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has expressed his approval following the Common Council's authorization of a land swap agreement between the City of Syracuse and the Syracuse Housing Authority (SHA). This development allows for the progression of renovations at Eastwood Heights.

Mayor Walsh stated, "With Common Council’s authorization of the land swap agreement between the City of Syracuse and SHA, the Eastwood Heights renovation can now move forward. This agreement prioritizes city residents, ensuring not only improved housing conditions for the tenants of Eastwood Heights but incentives SHA to complete the steps necessary to get the Children Rising Center project at the Latimer Terrace site back on track."

The mayor emphasized his commitment to supporting local residents and advocating for ongoing projects within the community. "We are committed to supporting the needs of our residents and will continue to advocate for the success of the East Adams Neighborhood Transformation.
