The Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) Faculty and Staff Bowling League is currently seeking new members, including both regular and substitute bowlers. The league is open to male and female bowlers employed by either SUNY ESF or Syracuse University, regardless of skill level. Beginners will have the chance to receive encouragement and coaching from more experienced participants.

The league will hold its sessions on Tuesdays from September through April at Village Lanes, located at 201 E. Manlius St., East Syracuse, from 5:10 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 10-minute practice session preceding each league meeting. Weekly fees are approximately $16.

This league has been a fixture in the area since the 1960s, originally playing at Drumlins before moving to its current location at Village Lanes. Teams consist of four bowlers with one or two substitutes. Substitute bowlers' fees are covered by their respective teams.

Interested faculty or staff members can contact League Secretary Paul Szemkow or League President Mike Satchwell for further information. League play begins on September 10, with a practice session scheduled for September 3. This year’s league captains include Ray Leach, Aaron Knight, Fil LaRosa, Steve Florence, Eric Greenfield, Randy Money, Sue Taylor-Netzband, and Mike Satchwell.
