It’s an exciting time of year in Upstate New York. During the summer months, there are many family-friendly events happening around communities, and the Oswego Harborfest is a favorite local activity. The event will feature unique craft vendors, food, musical performances, and one of the best fireworks shows. There is something for everyone at this four-day event.
Harborfest 2024 is scheduled to run from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28. This event has taken place annually since 1988 and has grown into a major regional attraction bringing in more than 75,000 guests each year. One notable aspect of this festival is that it is free of charge.
This year, festival patrons can expect more than 30 musical acts to enjoy. Some acts include Steve Grills and the Roadmasters, Billy Price and The American Rogues. Additionally, younger visitors are invited to march in the Children’s Parade set to kick off on Friday, July 26. The parade will start at West Park/Franklin Square at 10:30 a.m. and land at Breitbeck Park where Peppa Pig will perform at the park’s Main Stage. Those hoping to participate in the parade should plan to meet at 10 a.m. at West Park/Franklin Square.
