MADISON COUNTY: Free Document Shredding Event @ Buyea Road Residential Station to be held on October 17, 2020

Madison County recently issued the following announcement.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2020

The Madison County Department of Solid Waste is partnering with ConfiData for a FREE document shredding event. Madison County residents can bring up to 4 filing boxes of personal and confidential documents for shredding. Business waste will NOT be accepted. COVID-19 Protocol for Shred Events: - Residents must remain in their vehicle at ALL times. Face masks are required. -Please have the boxes/bags easily accessible in the back of the vehicle. Madison County employees will remove the material and empty boxes into ConfiData's totes for the shredding process. PLEASE NOTE: Medical documents, bank information, tax records, and other paperwork containing account numbers or private details are ideal for shredding. Keep documents loose in the boxes. Do NOT bring magazines, junk mail, phone books, or photographs. Please remove any non-paper items such as binders, plastic folders or metal rings. Staples are fine.
