Construction work on the campus steam distribution system in the West Campus area is progressing, according to Syracuse University’s Campus Planning, Design and Construction, CenTrio Energy, and local contractors. As part of this project, sidewalk replacements along the east boundary of the Raynor Avenue lot are ongoing.

To facilitate this phase of construction, the temporary bridge will be removed and the center crosswalk will be closed starting Friday, Aug. 8. The closure is expected to last until Tuesday, Aug. 12. During this period, pedestrians accessing or leaving the Raynor lot are advised to use alternative routes: either the north crosswalk at Van Buren Street and Stadium Place or the south crosswalk at East Raynor Avenue and Stadium Place.

For further information or concerns regarding these changes, individuals can contact Anthony Cabrey with Campus Planning, Design and Construction at 315.420.4557 or agcabrey@syr.edu.
