St. Joseph’s Health Hospital in Syracuse has announced that Dr. Pranita Ghimire will continue her medical career with them, focusing on Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at both St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Physicians Pulmonary practice.

Dr. Ghimire began her education in Dharan, Nepal, at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with honors. She then moved to Syracuse to complete her Internal Medicine Residency, noted for distinction in quality and patient safety, as well as fellowships in Geriatric Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

“I have had the privilege of working with an incredibly diverse patient population in the Syracuse area over the past seven years,” said Dr. Ghimire. “As a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine, I’m thrilled to continue my career at St. Joseph’s Health, a renowned center in acute respiratory distress syndrome and the life-saving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapy. It is deeply fulfilling to be part of a team at the forefront of life-saving medical interventions.”
