Peter Corasaniti, a Syracuse University alumnus and longtime member of the men’s basketball staff, was named associate athletics director of men’s basketball and operations, according to an April 14 announcement from the university.
Corasaniti has spent the past seven years as director of men’s basketball operations at Syracuse. In the 2025-26 season, he also took on assistant coach responsibilities. In his new role, Corasaniti will oversee all administrative and operational functions for the program. He will lead key staff members including those responsible for player personnel and alumni engagement, and serve as a strategic partner to the head coach in shaping program priorities.
The university said Corasaniti’s duties include ensuring compliance with institutional, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations. He is also expected to help facilitate revenue-sharing frameworks for the team.
Corasaniti began his involvement with Syracuse men’s basketball as a student manager while earning his bachelor’s degree in sports management from David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. After graduating in 2014, he became a graduate assistant at Syracuse before earning a master’s degree in new media management from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2016.
He then served as director of men’s basketball operations at Binghamton University under Coach Tommy Dempsey before returning to Syracuse in 2019 to join Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim’s staff as director of operations—a position he continued after Adrian Autry became head coach. His work has included managing office logistics, coordinating travel, supporting recruiting efforts, organizing camps and clinics, and developing game schedules.
Looking ahead, Corasaniti will take on expanded leadership responsibilities within the program while continuing to support both its athletic goals and administrative needs.
