Syracuse goalkeeper Daniella Guyette was named Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Player of the Week on Mar. 24 after helping her team secure two close victories against ranked opponents.

Guyette’s recognition comes after she recorded a total of 15 saves and achieved a .600 save percentage over the two games. In Syracuse’s win over then-No. 7 Yale, she stopped 10 out of 15 shots, posting a .667 save percentage. She followed that performance with five saves on ten shots in another win, this time against then-No. 19 Virginia.

The junior goalkeeper currently leads the ACC and ranks third nationally in goals against average, allowing just seven goals per game this season. Her total of 67 saves places her tied for ninth in the nation and second within the conference, along with a .500 save percentage.

Syracuse is scheduled to return to action Saturday when they host Pittsburgh at 10 a.m., with tickets available at cuse.com/lacrosse-tickets.

Guyette’s strong performances have contributed significantly to Syracuse’s success so far this season.
