Crouse Health announced on Apr. 7 that it will migrate its electronic health record systems to Epic, with the new system set to go live at the hospital and Crouse Medical Practice on May 30.

The change is expected to impact both healthcare providers and patients by streamlining access to medical records and enhancing care coordination. The implementation of Epic’s MyChart portal will allow patients a single point of access for various services.

“Moving to Epic will be transformational for Crouse,” said Seth Kronenberg, MD, President and CEO of Crouse Health. “Epic gives our providers and staff access to the most advanced electronic medical records platform, improving the quality and coordination of care across the organization. Additionally, for patients, Epic’s MyChart will bring Crouse Hospital and Crouse Medical Practice into one comprehensive patient portal, which will enhance their healthcare experience.”

Once MyChart is live on May 30, patients will be able to schedule appointments online, securely message their providers, use virtual care options, receive test results electronically, and pay medical bills through the portal.

Patients can register in advance for MyChart. Additional information is available at crouse.org/epic.

The move reflects a broader trend among healthcare organizations adopting integrated digital systems aimed at improving patient engagement and operational efficiency.
