Crouse Health has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Heart Failure Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes Crouse’s commitment to improving outcomes for heart failure patients by adhering to current, evidence-based treatment guidelines. The award highlights Crouse’s dedication to high-quality cardiac care and its role as a regional provider of comprehensive heart services.

The Silver Plus award is given to hospitals that consistently meet specific performance measures in diagnosing and treating heart failure patients. These measures include the appropriate use of medications and risk-reduction therapies aligned with nationally recognized clinical guidelines.

“Receiving the Silver Plus award for heart failure is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of our entire cardiac care team,” said Crouse cardiologist and medical director Joseph Battaglia, MD. “It also underscores our ongoing commitment to providing the highest standard of care to our patients and improving their quality of life.”

The Get With The Guidelines – Heart Failure program helps hospitals enhance patient care by promoting consistent use of the latest scientific treatment protocols. Participation in this program has been shown to reduce hospital readmissions and improve survival rates for heart failure patients.
