Central New York is gearing up for a series of fireworks displays to celebrate Independence Day. Residents and visitors can enjoy various events across several counties, featuring music performances and festive activities.
In Cayuga County, Auburn will host a performance by the Syracuse Orchestra at Emerson Park on July 3, with fireworks following the concert.
Cortland County’s Independence Day Spectacular in Preble is set for July 5 at Dwyer Memorial Park. The event begins at 2 p.m., culminating with fireworks at dusk.
Madison County will see fireworks in Cazenovia on July 4 at Lakeland Park. The Maria DeSantis Orchestra will perform from 7 to 9 p.m., preceding the pyrotechnics.
Onondaga County offers multiple options: Brewerton will hold its “Fireworks on the River” event on July 3; East Syracuse will have its annual Ronald A. Russell Jr. Fireworks Celebration on July 12; Manlius will feature food trucks, entertainment, a parade, and fireworks; and Syracuse will have an Independence Day celebration following the Mets game against Worcester Red Sox at NBT Bank Stadium on July 4, with additional dates throughout summer.
In Oswego County, Oswego plans a display over the Oswego River on July 6 at 9:45 p.m., alongside daytime festivities such as a parade and block party.
These events provide opportunities for community gatherings and celebrations throughout Central New York during this year’s Fourth of July holiday.
